‘Kite’ hide
The Red Kite (Milvus milvus), with its colourful plumage and acrobatic flight, is perhaps the most photogenic bird of prey we have in Mallorca. From our specific hide for kites, you can enjoy photographing them both perched and gliding, with the Serra de Tramuntana in the background.

Built in wood with generous dimensions (3.5m. x 1.6m. x 1.9m.) that allow for comfortable enjoyment of several hours of the session in the best conditions. It has a capacity for 3 photographers or 5 observers as it has 3 large high-quality spy glasses for photographing and our presence goes unnoticed by the animals.
The design and location have been carefully supervised by Francis de Andrés, an internationally awarded Wildlife photographer.
The feeder and water pond are about 8-10 metres from the hide, and we have placed some approach perches, so that in the same session you can get photographs in water, in flight, in perch and on the ground.
Let’s not forget that we are talking about birds in the wild, and depending on the time of year, weather conditions or other factors, they may come to a greater or lesser extent, or even not show up at all. In this case, we will give the visitor a bonus for a future session.
Session operative
After welcoming the observers to the estate, a transfer with one of our vehicles will take them to the hide door, and entrance must be as quick as possible. At the end of the session, the same vehicle will return at the agreed time for the pickup. If the session finishes earlier than planned, our staff can be contacted by phone. Read the hides usage rules and more information on pricing.
